The one I have been wanting to produce for more than 3 years, its finally here! This first batch will be sold at a REDUCED rate to enable me to purchase the materials for the next lot, where I will be making a few aesthetic changes, and adding more engine types.
Everything you need to fit a STRUT BRACE with added bonnet ram kit to your (PINTO POWERED) Ford Capri! This works with most aftermarket air filters, it DOES NOT FIT WITH THE STANDARD AIR BOX.
Do away with that annoying bonnet stay and create so much more room for activities under the bonnet, whilst adding the benefits of a strut brace at the same time.
The full kit consists of;
- Brand new bonnet rams
- Ball fittings for each end
- Strut top rings with ram brackets and brace tabs
- Centre brace bar and hardware to attach to the rings
- M8 hardware
To fit the rams, you need to drill one hole each side on the bonnet hinge plate(pictured), and the rest bolts on in 20 minutes max. Please ensure that the weight is on the front suspension (Wheels on the ground) before loosening the strut top bolts to fit the rings. If you are unsure, please get a professional to fit!
Please note, I also sell this kit without the strut brace, and I can sell the tabs and rams only for you to weld on yourself if you already have a brace!
Please note that these are usually available immediately but on occasion I may be waiting on delivery of some of the components that make up the kit. This is not my day job, I have 3 young children and a full time job on top so I usually get out once a week to sort postage :)
As this is the first batch, I am selling these at a reduced price. I have test fitted this brace onto a few pinto powered Capri's available to me, and it fits around the pinto engine and does not hit the bonnet, but obviously I cannot account for every single configuration of air filter and valve cover etc out there. I have made it as close to the bonnet as I can without hitting to account for these differences. Please ensure to close the bonnet very slowly after fitting to confirm that there is no contact with the brace. I will not be held responsible for any damage whilst fitting these to your car.
